Trick or Treat . . . .

Can you believe it? October half gone! Good thing I started these little treat boxes early or the ghosts and goblins would be missing out. Well, not really. The Silhouette makes short work of cutting so if I had procrastinated too long I could still have gotten these made on October 30th no problem. The hardest part of the whole project is staying out of the candy :-)
I do a weird thing for Halloween.  I like to tag along when the grand kids go Trick or Treating in case there's a wonderful photo op, but then there's no one home to hand out the candy..........so I go 'reverse' Trick or Treating (I go to their house rather than having them come to mine) either very early on the 31st or even the day before and give treats to the kids who live close to me.  That way they don't miss out and neither do I!
I cut the boxes out with the Silhouette and then folded on the pre-scored lines (yes, the Silhouette even cuts score lines!!) and used my tape gun to run adhesive where it needed to be and then just folded them up.  I used the corner spider web punch from Martha Stewart on some of the handles, filled the boxes with shredded newsprint, and added the treats.  Easy peasy!  I think the kids will like them, don't you?
I noticed after I downloaded the photos into the ol' bloggeroonie that I forgot to do all of the "weeding" inside the cutout spider webs. Weeding is removing the tiny cut pieces of paper and this is done with a little hook tool. Dang! I will have to make sure and do that ASAP before it slips my mind. Not that the kids would notice, but I like them to be as perfect as possible.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a spooktacular week!
