Summer

Good Sunday to you ---- Fall is fast approaching.  Maybe you aren't feeling it where you live, but we are here.  In fits and starts.  Friday morning the low was 36 degrees but rebounded into the 80s for the afternoon high.  Typical transition weather from summer into fall.  Summer has just whizzed by, darn it! 

Anywho, I wanted to get a post out and it's one that should have been done at the beginning of summer, but better late than never, right? I made this months ago.  I was fiddling around with with my Silhouette and  glass etching and thought a little decorator piece announcing the arrival of SUMMER would be nice.  What I didn't realize was that using glare-free glass makes a difference.  The images didn't show up well and I ended up using my Copic markers to color the etching hoping it would make a difference.  It did!  Once I carefully colored the etched areas I took a soft cloth and rubbed the extra away.  As you can see it left a very soft look to it.  I was very pleased with the results.  I am not, however, pleased with the the project as a whole.  The background needs something, but so far I haven't figured out what that may be.  But I'm working on it.  I intend to make another decorator piece with, what else, FALL as the theme.  Stay tuned.  I just may get it done before winter!  LOL!   As always, thanks for stopping by.  Hugs, Shawna
