Red, White, and Blue

Good morning all! Today I have a card for Squigglefly's weekly challenge, which is to use Red, White, and Blue -------It's coming up on Independence Day. I love participating in challenges when I can and this Squigglefly image grabbed my attention right away, I knew it would work perfectly (not a traditional card in the Fourth of July sense, but the challenge was for red, white, and blue with no other stipulations :-). And it's not the best photo I have ever taken, but it is a dark and gloomy day here in the mountains of northern California; and considering I use only natural lighting, this is as good as it is going to get today I'm afraid.   I think it is a bit blurry, too.  Sorry.  Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by.  Hugs, Shawna

I used glossy card stock for the base of my card, a slightly textured white paper run through my Wizard using the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Provo Craft for the mid layer, this gorgeous flower wreath digi image from Squigglefly, and the Hello Friend sentiment from Gina Ks Tropical Flowers stamp set from a few years back. The wreath is colored with Copic markers and I used Stickles on the flower centers and on the dots in the bow.

It may not be traditional for the 4th of July - but it's gorgeous!!! Love the blue flowers with that pretty red bow. Like the embossed background too. Gorgeous coloring.

Oh Shawna, this is really so pretty! I love the white background that really accentuates the beautiful coloring of your wreath. Thanks for playing in the Squigglefly challenge!
