Good morning! I've been MIA for a bit, but now that summer has finally arrived here in the mountains there has been tons to do around the yard. Between that and my 'real' jobs, well, I am sure you understand!
I got caught up enough to be able to play in this week's Squigglefly challenge...........make a masculine card and here's my entry.
It seems I am heavy into adding twine to my cards these days :-) I used Copics to color the fence, the mail box and the flowers. The grass, middle ground, the mountains, and the sky were all chalked. I left the barn just as it printed hoping to achieve that grey, weathered look. The edges on both layers were distressed using the edge of a pair of scissors and all was attached to a card base that was run through my Wizard using a Cuttlebug folder.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hugs, Shawna

Wonderful scene Shawna! Love the pop of the blue flowers in the fore-ground. So pretty. I also love using twine.

Shawna, this really is beautiful! You did a great job coloring with the markers and chalk. I love how leaving the barn uncolored makes it look weathered and grey! Great idea!
Thanks for playing in Squigglefly's challenge. I always love to see what you create.
What a beautiful card! I love everything about it and the twine is great so don't stop using it! :)
Wowzers! That's great! Very masculine indeed.
This is a great guy card, Shawna....I love the little scene you created and the twine is the perfect detail!!!!
