It still feels like winter out there! I am counting the months and in four more autumn will set in and the nights will begin to cool. Dare I say we might not get much summer? Perish the thought! But it is what it is and cannot be changed, so I will look at it this way --- time for scrapbooking and card making. And although there hasn't been much time for that (read that NONE AT ALL) this past week, today I felt I had to take some 'me' time and being in the Sunroom Studio was where I chose to be. Lordy, I love that room! :-) And I didn't get a call to work so all is well. So today being Sunday and not having a post for Silhouette Sunday at the ready I thought I would combine that along with entering Squigglefly's weekly challenge. Paper piecing is the challenge at Squigglefly and here's what I did:
The image is Squigglefly's 'Katie Bug' and I combined the image with a Silhouette background piece. The leaves are the part of the image that I paper pieced and I used Stickles on the daisys and the Martha Stewart butterfly that I punched from a piece of scrap paper. The center's of the flowers on the Silhouette mat have a half bead from the Robin's Nest. I really like this mat, but think when I cut it again I will use slightly thinner card stock as this was way too fiddly trying to weed out all the cuts.

I'm glad you found some time to play in your sunroom Shawna. This is a really cute card. I love the flowers and dots around the border. I would so trade my weather for yours - it's nearly 7:30 at night and it's still a hot 89 degrees! Plus I got chewed up by mosquitoes!
Thanks for playing in Squigglefly's challenge - you're the best!
Oh my word hun!! This is so so sweet!! LOVE the pink colors here and your darling flowers!! :) Thanks so much for joining in the challenge this week!! HUGS
This is such a cute little card. The background looks so old fashioned and the whole card just looks "springy"!! To bad it isn't "springy" outside!! :)
